Engineering Technician/Inspector
Performs a variety of on-site quality control tests, inspections, and project-specific observations and evaluations most often related to site grading, foundation installation, concrete and masonry construction, structural steel and pre-cast erection, fireproofing, waterproofing, roofing and paving for construction projects. Position requires the ability to interpret or work from drawings and specifications. Excellent oral and written communication skills a must. Requires high school diploma/GED and valid and current state driver's license. Industry specific certifications from ICC (Special Inspector), NICET, ACI, AWS, ASNT, etc. are preferred.Senior Technician/Inspector
Performs on site observations, takes samples, perform specific tests and maintains records of more complex nature. Performed under general supervision. Typically requires 2 - 4 years of experience. Requires certifications such as ACI or radiation safety training for the use of Nuclear Density Gauges. Principal Technician/InspectorSupervises and performs complex work tasks. Has thorough knowledge of testing and observation requirements. National and state accreditation certifications such as ICC and/or NICET are required. May act as project manager and direct and/or train other technicians and inspectors. Typically requires 10+ years of experience.
Senior Geotechnical Engineer
Seeking Senior Geotechnical Engineer with expertise in all aspects of geotechnical design, construction materials testing and familiar with all the operations of geotechnical and materials testing laboratory. The individual will have business development skills, local client base and have managed projects, developed proposals for various design and CMT projects, made recommendations in planning, design and construction phase of the projects. The individual will directly manage several engineers and technicians on multiple projects, and review all work. This position will report directly to the President / Executive Vice President.Requirements: BS in civil engineering with an emphasis in geotechnical and materials area. P.E. registration is required. Must have at least 5 years of work experience on projects preferably in Georgia / Southeast region.
- Prepare engineering analysis of projects to include: preliminary design, calculation, life cycle cost and equipment selection.
- Conduct surveys to gather field data, prepare and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, layouts and other visual aids.
- Prepare technical construction specifications.
- Perform Civil engineering duties surrounding the following; buildings, sub-divisions, drainage, traffic, road, airport, tunnel, bridge, water supply, sewage, and environmental systems.
- Manage project issues, budgets, and schedules.
- Review and critique proposed changes to engineering standards, policies, or details.
- Review development plans for compliance with adopted engineering standards and good engineering practices.
- Meet with the general public and/or developers, clients, contractors, and interest groups concerning, engineering regulations, standards, or policies.
- Coordinate the activities of the design and construction teams.
